Overview
Clear aligners are a series of thin, see-through trays made to fit your teeth. You wear each set for a set period, then change to the next, and your teeth move in small steps.
They are removable, so you take them out to eat and clean your teeth. Good results depend on wearing them as long as advised each day, usually most of the day and night.
What to know

Common questions
How many hours a day must I wear them?
Often around 20 to 22 hours, taking them out mainly to eat and clean.
Can people tell I am wearing them?
They are clear and usually hard to notice in normal conversation.
Can aligners fix any problem?
No. Complex bite problems may still need braces or other treatment.
What if I lose a tray?
Tell your dentist. You may go back a set or move to the next one.
Do I still need a retainer after?
